Can I substitute this AC Adapter for my Computer Speakers?

I have harman/kardon computer system speakers that have no power adapter. The speakers ask for "12V 1Amp" input. I have an adapter from another electronic component that is rated 12V 4.16 Amp. Can I substitute this without compromising either

Just as long as the power plug (the plug that plugs into the speakers) has the same polarity (+and-) as the previous one, the Amps is not important. Good luck!
